YOU NEED A GAMEPLAN.
You started your teaching career so full of optimism and with a mindset to truly make a difference in the lives of kids.
But slowly, the realities of the job crept in…
- unreasonable demands of standardized testing
- disrespectful students
- unsupportive administration
- disgruntled parents
- gossipy colleagues
- shady teammates
And of course, the never-ending to-do list that includes grading papers and all of that other administrative stuff teachers deal with on the daily.
It can get so overwhelming!
Is this really what you signed up for?
You want to teach kids. That’s your purpose.
There are a million other things vying for your attention.
And those things, no matter how “seemingly” small they appear to outsiders, are major energy-zappers, especially mentally!
You know you’re a good teacher, but on a bad day, you sometimes doubt yourself.
“Am I good enough?”
“Am I strong enough to keep at this?”
Every now and then, you think about quitting teaching for good.
“No way! This is what I love to do – teach kids!”, you say to yourself.
But you also think (maybe shamefully)…
“How in the hell am I going to make it another 5, 10, or 20 years in this profession considering all the emotional and physical stress I experience year after year?”
And for the record, with all things considered, you realize the financial rewards are nothing to brag about either.
So what do you do?
You need a game plan!
THERE’S NO “ONE-SIZE-FITS-ALL” RULE BOOK.
Yes indeed, I’ve been there!
Fifteen years of life-changing experiences in education (the successes and failures) have taught me a thing or two about making it work.
But I understand…
At times, you feel like a hamster spinning and spinning on that darn wheel.
You’re moving, but are you really going anywhere?
You’re exhausted yet still in the same place.
BUT GUESS WHAT?
You don’t have to do what every other teacher is doing in order to stay afloat.
And you don’t have to do it all “by the book” as recommended by the “experts”.
Here’s What I Know…
Teachers need to work smarter, not harder by doing the following…
